Merrie has practiced Real Estate in Washington, DC and Virginia since 1984. She worked with Long & Foster Realtors, and Senator Larry Pressler's wife at Prudential Real Estate.

MUSICIAN & SINGER
Merrie produced a CD called "Healing Streams For America." She played piano for the reception of Dr Pat Robertson’s Memorial Service at the Founder’s Inn. Merrie led worship outside the 911 National Prayer and Remembrance at the Washington National Cathedral. Merrie performed piano and song in Russia at the American Embassy. Andrea Boccelli received a shofar and prayer from her in his home in Italy before performing for President George Bush and the Prime Minister.
A MILITARY FAMILY
Lt. Col. Arrington Brent Turner, her father served during World War II in General George S. Patton’s Army. He fought in major campaigns including Normandy Beach, the Ardennes, (Battle of the Bulge) and the liberation of Jews in Paris.
CELEBRATIONS
Merrie has been a central figure in centennial celebrations and July 4th parades in Alexandria, Fairfax and Colonial Williamsburg. She has performed 18th Century dance at the Kennedy Center, the French Embassy and Library of Congress. She traveled with the Faith and Freedom tour which took Judge Roy Moore's Ten Commandments Monument around the nation.
Born on Pearl Harbor Day, December 7th, Rev. Merrie was raised in the Outer Banks with a deep awareness of both American heritage and God’s hand upon her life. From her childhood home, she could see the First Flight Monument of the Wright brothers and hear the waves of the Atlantic Ocean—reminders of vision, perseverance, and legacy that would later mark her own journey for the quest for City Hall.
UNITED STATES V. TURNER - PRO LIFE CASE
Merrie appealed to the Supreme Court of the United States (No. 94-1733) on the Necessity Defense law to establish Personhood for the unborn. She sited President Reagan's Executive Order 5761 which says "All Americans have the right to life from the moment of conception until natural death. "
